Last night Rachel pointed out that the so-called Republican re-evaluation is horse puckies. Senate Republicans, and many republican pundits are making noise about reforming the Republican message but they don't have any power. Anywhere the Republicans do have legislative power, the war on women, immigrants, and science, continues unabated.
The prohibitionists were in the minority but they got prohibition through political organization, complacency, and intimidation. The religious right is as dangerous as it was before the election. they are like the virus shingles. Once a person is exposed, they will carry it for life.
