Hitler started small, played to the crazies, his later acts were not my point... Jim Jones, others like him, and now the winger crazies lead folks over the edge... Destructive to our nation, about as far from National patriotism as someone can get other than setting up the explosion, they are lighting the fuse, every day they spew... Too Dangerous, long term, to be allowed.. Hate spewers, inciting the teabaggers, all of it...

Remember last year when we went to our local Reps' Town Hall, Lynn Woolsey? The mob/teabaggers, were there only to disrupt, destroy any dialog on healthcare to the point of shouting down para and quadraplegic Vets when they tried to speak, ask questions.. And that was in the local Veteran's Memorial main hall! Sickening... The hatred, idiocy needs to be clamped off, it's a tumor...

They play to their base.
I loathe their rhetoric, but the label 'Hitler' is over the top for those folks.

My other choice for person of the year, someone famous & current:

Aung San Suu Kyi

Aung San Suu Kyi MP AC is a Burmese opposition politician and chairperson of the National League for Democracy in Burma. In the 1990 general election, the NLD won 59% of the national votes and 81% of the seats in Parliament.
