Why is it that BEFORE the elections, Republicans tried everything that they could to make it harder to vote yet when one of their own loses by a slim margin, they demand that officials "...ensure that every legal vote cast is properly and accurately counted."? What about counting the votes of those who were prevented from voting as a result of some arbitrary or discriminatory rule aimed at minorities or those who tend to vote for Democratic candidates?

The race isn't over yet between Rep. Mike McIntyre (D-N.C.) and his GOP challenger, state Sen. David Rouzer.

Rouzer requested a recount Tuesday after the initial vote count showing McIntyre leading by just over 650 votes, multiple sources report.

"Considering this is the closest Congressional race in the country and in light of the irregularity previously found in Bladen County, which significantly reduced the vote margin at that time, I have decided to request a mandatory recount of the votes cast in the 7th Congressional District as allowed by law," Rouzer said in a statement. "In a race this close, accidental human error could easily change the outcome. It is important to ensure that every legal vote cast is properly and accurately counted."
