from the Marion, Illinois pickup point (the Marion Ministerial Alliance soup kitchen)) where 10,700 cans of assorted food were collected by the Boy Scouts of America's national Scouting For Food Saturday pickup. They distributed the sacks for the food last Saturday and picked them up today. It is very rewarding to see all this food come in to help those who are in so much basic need. The scouts have taken a hit lately because of their stance on gays in the organization but no one can fault them for their good deeds this weekend for those in need! This single food drive provides about one tenth of the total contributions that the Ministerial Alliance recieves each year!
