hi dig,

actually, i like your writing precisely because it is raw.

but i think there's a zero sum game between myself and blue. either i can't write or he doesn't read.

magically i find that in his mouth, my arguments ooze into opposition with his own. but in doing so, i cease to recognise them. ;-)

so i have drawn a parallel between wave's development method and evolution, when i have actually cast them as intelligent designers. and from there, in order to save his perception of my pro-wave bias, it continues.

fascinating conversation to set alongside one with 1260 the previous day about my anti-wave bias.

notions that your writing style is unclear only reflect confusion or modesty.

Now my sh*t, that is a separate matter.

It is well observed by all, those that read material as a matter of obligation, those that do so as a matter of fancy and others ... my writing sucks.

My writing works for a subset of readers. But it does not make the writing good. It speaks towards the qualities of a subset of readers. I write in spoken English. Some effortlessly make the transition. While I diminish anything resembling skills in written English, I am ... uh, rather confident in areas of spoken English. Call me an arrogant ass or whatever, I speak effectively.

The confusion is in the translation from spoken to written English, my brain sees no boundary, but all of the worlds written English folks uniformly assign me to the "C". I simply lack the skills for written word, but there are readers that can well translate my spoken content provided in text.

In contrast, your written English is, in no uncertain terms excellent. Not to assign you as a Brit or anything, as you may well be anything, but there are places where people as a collection simply write better than people like me.

On the matter of written and spoken english ...

do you ever look at these letters and notes from like ;;; WWI of moreso Civil War Folks, from the trenches, arms blown off, and the quality and cadence of their content. ... simply god damned amazing.

"Madam, I regret that were it not for the urgency of my predicament and the brevity with which the lord has bestowed upon me this matter of serious gravity ...."

Dude is speaking with an arm blown off.

Fug me.
