It seems, but I do not follow this, that the UN needs boots on the ground, many boots, well-armed boots. But I cannot see how that could happen. Does the UN want to take ownership of Gaza? BB will have nothing to do with it. I believe the current solution is for the UNSC to mandate botos in Gaza, give the bird to Israel, and secure that sliver of the world. Israel had their chance, they failed. UN boots and a Marshal plan level economic intervention. Egypt would go for that. It is time to wrest control of the occupied territories out of the hands of BB and into the hands of the UN.
