620,000 tell Macy’s to 'dump' Donald Trump

The number of signatures on a petition urging Macy’s to sever its relationship with Donald Trump has skyrocketed to more than 600,000, after the organizer sent an overnight email to supporters to urge them to step up the campaign.
“Macy’s needs to understand that they should not reward Donald Trump’s bigoted bullying, but I need your help explaining that to them,” wrote Angelo Carusone, the activist who started the “Dump Trump” petition.
The petition has more than 620,000 signatures so far, and Carusone told POLITICO that that number jumped by 26,000 within hours after he sent the note to those who had already signed the measure asking them to find more people to sign on.
The goal, according to the letter, is to reach 1 million signatures before Thanksgiving.
