netanyahu is pretty much cheney. or as close as it gets.
so the whole "bully anyone with an opinion" thing is in play.
but israel isn't the united states and they may draw down the whole middle east upon themselves if they aren't careful. it isn't obama's job to protect israel against the consequences of its voluntary aggression.
just as you wouldn't expect the us to protect south korea if it decided to attack the north without a specific agreement in advance. the us provides a shield rather than a sword in these matters.
so we shall see if this is another franz ferdinand moment.
at a minimum, i expect tensions with lebanon to ratchet up again. and they have a whole bunch of rockets.
