McConnell is up for reelection in 2 years, he frets a tea party challenger.

He puts his career ahead of the country (more so than most)

How did he ever get enough votes for the position...

IMO, any republicans responsible for the results of this election should be downgraded!
They have proven to be inept to their party.

i say it won't matter due to rules changes.

but mcconnell is a disaster for the country. a method actor in the kabuki theatre. if filibusters remain absolute and entrenched at 60, the us will be ungovernable forever. these kinds of rules were meant to be for special circumstances. mcconnell used them to frustrate government thuggishly across the board. so, yes, he should go.

but if he doesn't, it won't matter. rule change. and in fact, i will be very excited to see a (small c) constitutional change which makes it easier to make mistakes, but also to progress at an accelerated speed. the senate is surely not meant to stymie democracy.
