Getting 67% of Americans to agree on anything is nearly impossible.

Look at every circumstance where super majorities of 2/3rds are required and what you see is it just doesn’t happen.

If one then breaks America down into its ethnic groups or self-identified affiliations, one can then achieve 67% … but even then, generally, it is still difficult to do.

Johnson and Kennedy and a durably refusist GOP have combined to deliver >67% f the black vote rather consistently to the Dem side.

Other areas were murkier.

And this never meant much; we are talking a group that generally represented less than 10% of those who make their voices heard.

And then there is this:

AfricanAms: 93% Obama
HispanicsAms: 71% Obama
AsiansAms : 73% Obama.

AsianAms are the fastest growing segment. 73% Obama. We are not talking a self-deportation farm-worker. 73%. That is a crushing number. AsianAms have the highest education level of any ethnic group in America. Higher than Bill O’reilly’s real Americans. 73%. Fastest growing. AsianAms have a median income 10% higher than whites, the highest median income of any group including whites, the highest percentage of households over 100k of any group including whites. 73% Obama. Fastest growing ethnic segment. The growth in this segment is largely immigration, this segment has lower fertility rates than other segments. Historically US immigration has been ‘send us your poor, your disenfranchised’ … Asian immigration is ‘send us your educated, your achievers with means’. 73% Obama. Needless to say, DRNC is not a job I would currently seek.

AsianAms are 4.8% of the population, the most educated, the highest earners, the fastest growing, and they voted 73% for Obama. The only caveate, AsianAms have a somewhat bimodal income distribution, they over-represent whites as a percentage at the poverty level as well. These are largely the political refugee component (by 2%) and then rapidly ramp past all other groups in being more affluent.
All of these numbers completely trounce the very rare 67% supermajority.
