Good morning Magdelina,

Congrats on your county voting for Obama!

'Science' & 'math' seem to be road blocks for many republicans. Strange, since they are suppose to be the 'daddy party.'

The democrats = 'mommy party' usually know how to stretch a dollar, put food on the table & keep a family humming. Plus, mommies defend our young, so 'defense' is on our side also!

I know some intelligent folks that voted for Romney.
One is a NYC teacher & he's Jewish. I asked him, HOW can you vote against your own interest???
No rationale IMO.
His wife is ready to divorce him, she can't take Fox news anymore ;))

The blindness to pure math (facts) is jolting.

The day of the election I was sitting with a customer from VA who came down for two reasons, an appt with me and to watch the election results with a friend. She voted for Romney and told me she had been saying since March Romney was going to win in a landslide. This woman isn't an idiot, but clearly does not avail herself of the NY Times, the Washington Post or The Atlantic. It scares me the number of people who rely on Fox, Rush and Drudge for their information. It's hard for me to get my head around that.

However, many of my liberal leaning friends were worried, especially if they were in very red country. I kept saying (and emailing links to Nate Silver) the numbers tell the story. One friend said to me, "Too many numbers and lines for me. Does it show the good guy winning?" LOL

So, it may be reasonable to conclude that a good many people do not understand the science of aggregating polls and weighting them. Not just the "bad" guys.
;-)
