The opportunities are greater than ever (since we haven't closed any deals). Can't believe the SP closed up the day this was posted - however it was on minimal volume. Stevo - same ol' same ol'.

is that i read this message so differently to the way it is intended:

svenm: "Robert,
Steven took the time to answer your question and here it is:

'This is the critical question of Why is this so hard?

I think it is a number of factors and there are no excuse, this is our primary focus and central subject of much of our effort. *** i know i am about to read excuses.

The enterprise market is very interested but the purchase executions have been hard *** forget the interested bit because this is a standard trope for ss - what i hear is that there are no/few sales.

the combination of a poor economy and to much focus on Mobile devices that have just appeared are definite contributors. *** wave grew the business in spite of the fact there was no demand present and in fact wave's focus on the pc segment is a problem.

Wave is transitioning from a data protection offering to a trusted computing offering (which includes data protection) lots of interest but the sales cycle has been long *** again, i read weak sales growth and excuses surrounding uncontrollable factors.

Momentum in the drive industry that was driving our sales definitely was hiccupped by supply chain distractions. *** uncontrollable factors, but he's already rescinded this in favour of two deals that deferred/walked.

This has required us to rebuild momentum in this market although we had built an enterprise based on the growth cycle. *** wave lost momentum but this was concealed by the gm order and when that ran out, the lack of traction was exposed.

Perception of market success which is reflected in valuation and revenue growth has been negative and this only lengthens the sales process. *** more factors beyond wave's control and therefore for which they cannot be blamed.

The good news is that the interest is significantly growing in our sector. *** standard ss trope again.

Large Scale deals are on the horizon and some are in hand. *** standard trope. i'm thinking hope trope at this point.

Adoption of trusted computing is happening and will clearly happen there is not a vision risk the challenge has been a timing risk. *** a new form of hope trope, but confirmation of no/few sales.

Wave continue to produce the technology at the forefront of this market. *** the forefront of a market which hasn't arrived.

Microsoft entering the fray in scale is having a very positive effect and Wave has a real supporting product role with WIN 7 support and the infrastructure for both Win 7 and WIN 8 platforms. *** maybe, maybe not. this is a proposition he must prove.

We can discuss further on Friday.

steven'" *** in short, wave is trying but there's nothing it can do because all the issues that it has identified are outside its control. so there's hope but no dope. it's all just a trope.
