Yes and no. It's more complicated than a simple answer for a reason. I try with 7.2.9 periodically, it's not necessary but all of the success reports involve 7. However, 7 also involves a totally different phenomenon, a Core 2.25 which for some reason punishes Fermi cores, which is all of my gpu's. So I revert to 7.1 or 6.41 and re-install Core 2.22 manually.
