Try to keep one old hardwired phone somewhere, telco powers it's own talk and ringing signals, but if it goes through the portable base, it's gone... My shop and garage phones, bedroom, too are wires... No answering machine, but at least useable...

Cells have to rely on the site power, good for a day, more if they have generators, but if they lose the CO, it's over!

Hmm, our first Halloween gremlin! Rainy here, so pretty slow I bet...

Hi Joe,

I called you several times but it wouldn't go through.
The towers might have had an issue?
When my power goes off my landline doesn't work because I have portable phones.
