It will be fine. I must say even though I'm stubborn and like 6 simply because I know it reasonably well, all reports on F@H7 are that it's user-friendly and pretty darn stable. It wasn't 7 that messed you up, it was Stanford letting out a beta WU before telling ppl how to avoid getting it if they didn't want to deal with it. That's your situation, 7 is fine but you don't have the software to process the beta WU 7623. It's not just an updated version of 7 you need, it's really more the core to run the Kepler WU. I know all this sounds like UPDATE YOUR MEATBALLS and PROCESS YOUR PYJAMAS right now but they really meant well, they're addressing a problem, they're just academics who sometimes lose sight of the fact that the real world extends beyond their lab coat.
I've barely touched my two instances of installed 7. You'll get to it and all will be good.

Thanks ArVee. At some point I'm going to have to figure out how to delete the old V7 and put in the new. Windows 7, new to me, and a small old monitor are no help. I guess this thing needs maintenance and I wasn't warned their version changes would cause trouble when I thought it would work forever. I can try "Expert mode" but don't know if I've messed it up already together with using the older version 7.
