Hi micro. Spent four days in Rome. On the plane home actually watched the film, "Gladiator" for the 2nd time. The scenes in the Colosseum actually captured the real Colosseum. It's a huge arena as big as any U.S. stadium. Hard to believe the Romans could have built it four stories high (or what it was) and it's still around after 2,000 years. The main stage is gone but you can see right through it to the stalls where the animals and gladiators were kept below. It's a long way to walk all around it but the gates are huge and some you can still see the gate numbers in Roman Numerals so you know what gate you're at.

Had two days in Venice so there's more to tell.

Hope you are having a wonderful time there in Rome!

Sounds wonderful to me. Please don't fret one second over your computers. Enjoy the sights and smells and tastes of Italy and just relax.

I am envious!

the best,

micro....
