hi clo,

eisenhower's generation and the one before it built a bunch of the infrastructure upon which the us' subsequent success was founded.

the concept of creating assets is lost on many people. they obsess on the credit side of the balance sheet and have no concept of the debit side.

an economy can wear a bunch of liabilities if it is creating future income streams with the money it borrows.

Hi Cactus Flower,

Timing is key.

During Eisenhower's administration taxes were very high. And he was able to build coast to coast highways. He kept folks working & revenues streaming, while opening up delivery systems that helped get goods & mail delivered in a much more functional mode.

But for Muffin to promote MORE tax cuts at this time is more than dangerous!
I stared your earlier post.
How can republicans be taken seriously about wanting to cut deficits, while continuing the tax cut mantra...
It makes me want to pull my hair out!

Common sense, is lost in their argument...
