Hi CSL, I tend toward moderation myself. The school lunch program is an example of liberalism gone nuts. It has expanded exponentially to include school breakfast, summer feeding and now even take home dinner meals. Parental responsibility be damned. Yikes, what do the parents do with their additional food stamp money they receive for their offspring? They get cash back to purchase soap, toothpaste etc. -but don't they go across the street and buy a qt. of vodka. And the school lunch program is so under funded it leads not just to dependency but obesity as well - a potentially huge cost to the health care system. There's plenty of room for compromise there as there is for gun control. State and local governments are spending huge amounts on policing, justice, prisons and probation. Just 2 examples where moderation makes sense and would save taxpayers billions. Moderation - both parties need to relearn the art of compromise and common sense. Extreme positions cater to respective bases but at the expense of us all.
