GOP Congressman Joe Walsh: Exception For Mother's Life A 'Tool For Abortions Anytime'

After his Thursday night debate with Democratic challenger Tammy Duckworth, Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL) told reporters that, when it comes to abortion, there is "no such exception as life of the mother," and that such procedures are never actually necessary to save a woman's life. During the actual debate, Walsh and Duckworth got rather heated over the issue of abortion. The Democratic challenger made clear her pro-choice stance on abortion, and the two got into a dispute over the nature of exceptions.
