Why is the electorate so dumb?

All politicians lie,flip flop and do u-turns yet the electorate
Still believe in their leaders and politics.....
I mean.... presidential candidate A tells his followers if
he/she wins office there will be no carbon tax,then once
winning office they introduce a carbon tax.
As if winning a debate means anything other than winning
A debate......aren't you taught in your elite universities how
To debate and win even if you don't believe in that view point?

The electorate.....memories of a goldfish and mind of a
slave......

Dig, my reference was to MR's sudden more to the center which required flip flops on a few key issues. BO needs to pin him down on which is his real position. Was he fibbing then or now. How can anybody trust anything he says because he changes in a heart beat depending on his audience.
