BTW, here in California we're voting on an initiative to change the 'three-strike' laws so that we are only imprisoning people under this law who have committed serious or violent crimes. In other words, simple drug busts will not be counted as 'strikes' nor other non-violent crimes even if they're technically felonies. We're also voting to repeal the death penalty.
