I do not think Obama is allowed zingers ... but such coaching is what killed him in the first debate.
FWIW, Obama is a TERRIBLE zinger guy. Perhaps the worst in modern American history.
Just believe me on that, he has no capacity for zingers, no demographic base to leverage a zinger ... it just ain't there ... on this Axelrod and I agree, that Axelrod coached him to pure submission is a separate matter ... that man is not and cannot be the zinger man.

Axelrod wins by clean message. On message. He is not about putting Obama out there as some sort of Zinger guy. I think folks wildly underestimate the degree with which somebody might vote for that black guy .... unless he gets "uppity" ... HE HAS NO ZINGER LEEWAY.
