Unlike 3g, it appears that Lte is ahead of schedule in the launch. In our typical unlucky fashion, DC is pondering a ban on our two Chinese respondents which would make our ITC moot since a ban is the only remedy available. It would also take the starch out of any DE actions because the jurisdiction is limited to USA product infringement. I continue to wait with a box of snickers, a Tug McGraw baseball card and a computer to check for news everyday.
Should IDCC wait until a FRAND rate is established and maybe THE BIG BOYS RATES REVEALED BEFORE SIGNING WITH ANYONE? I'm sure IDCC would be way low compared to the rest! Only question will it take 5 more years for it to happen!
