There is no question that is oppotunity to leverage HC is huge.
Does anybody think that when they walk HC into the room, that America is sending a pansy to the wolves?
It is kinda a payback moment. The right has forever been portraying HC is a pit bull. BO simply has to say, yup, HC is a pit bull, and our SoState ... it is just hard to conjur an image of american softness if one emphasizes HC as the point (wo)man.
So mittens is saying "hope is not a policy" ... and is his policy reinstating the draft and sending a couple million troops to silence democracy in the M.E. .... I don't know how to articulate that, and I fear BO can't (this is a BC thingy, this articulation thingy).
But trying to communicate that I fear will not be donewell by BO. America gets the Iraq example, so BO has something to work with, but translating that into a, uhhh, polite overseer role as opposed to a my-way-or-the-highway dictator role is very very difficult to articulate.
I fear the FP debate.
The electorate has gotten a lot lot lot smarter in the last 12 years. Even the tea baggers. Folsk like Perry and Bachman were praised and then dumped in the compost, without apology, in short order once they failed the "smartness" thingy.
