Barack Obama is one of the brighter people to have inhabited the White House and it is easy to mistake intelligence for arrogance. We don't think that these so called people that you know who have dealt with Mr. Obama know him very well at all! He is a private person with a small circle of close friends and we doubt that these people that you speak of are anywhere near to that small circle.

Elections have their ups and their downs and it was unrealistic to think that the Obama campaign would stay on a permant up. As the president likes to say, there will be bumps in the road. Looking at Mitt Romney's past history, however, all we see are twenty nine opportunities to gaffe with the twenty nine days remaining until the election.

Regards,

Joe

I am not going nuts, just observing.

A quarter billion has been spent constructing a strawman Romney caricacture. I often don't agree with Romney but I think he is a very competent man that has been tested in a variety of areas and he has been successful.

I am quite familiar with the President's "career" not just from reading but from people who have actually known and dealt with him first hand. With the exception of arrogance, ain't much there.

The President did as well as he could in the last debate. I anticipate Romney will get a bounce after each debate over the next three weeks.

I've been in the funny farm for years and it is quite nice here. Ron sends greetings.
