Hi alea,

We disagree.

It baffles me how someone as smart as you can't see that someone as dumb as me is always right.

My view is only the Author of human life has the authority to begin or end that life. It is our moral human obligation to defend all human lives. Though many religions hold similar views I do not see it as a religious decision, it is a moral decision.

To compel another human being to end a life they consider sacred is...reprehensible. (If I could find a stronger word, or spell it, I would use it.)

The only exception might be when the life of the mother is clearly at risk.

Having said that, the protection of all human life is a legitimate role the government, but it is a decision best left to the each individual sovereign state, not a decision for the federal government.

Some human beings will discriminate against others for arbitrary reasons. They ought to be allowed that choice, but that is also an argument for government being as small as is possible.

Back to quiet mode.

P S. I know it is not a popular view around here and there is no point in a discussion either but it is looking more and more to me like Romney-Ryan in a landslide when the only poll that matters is taken.
