clo, I'm just saying event can only serve to have value in what it is, and what it is can speak towards certain skills, not that those skills are necessarily the most important skills, but POTUS is a reasonably demanding job, and to the extent this measures any relevant skill, it should be observed for just that ... a relevant skill.

Nothing in a debate becomes, e.g., a budget or a split military deployment decision.

Dig,

Great points!

"At some point we have to acknowledge certain qualities that allow things to happen. "

IMO, Obama has proven to be deft time & time again, from his earlier campaign.

a. he knew caucuses were important, Hillary was never able to rebound
b. he didn't allow McCain to stop the debate, even though McCain flew back to DC & was mute.
c. he pushed healthcare
d. the use of drones
e. getting OBL in Pakistan
to name a few.

The moderator has an important role. Hope he's up to the task.
