Private payrolls add 162,000 in September: ADP

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) — The U.S. economy added 162,000 private-sector jobs in September, according to an estimate released Wednesday, a continuation of the middling growth in the labor force since the end of the recession.
The report from payrolls processing firm ADP came in slightly stronger than the 152,000 Dow Jones Newswires–compiled consensus.
