Judge halts Pennsylvania's controversial voter ID provision
A Pennsylvania judge has postponed the state's strict voter identification requirement, ordering it not be implemented for the upcoming November election.
The measure had been hotly contested, with proponents arguing it deterred voter fraud; Critics claimed it unfairly targeted poor, elderly or minority voters who lack a proper ID.
The ruling could be appealed to the state Supreme Court.
