on friday there were approx 3myn idcc shares purchased by index funds vs a weighted amount of shares of quest software that were sold....so this was the actual amount that needed to be purchased by actual index funds...there is also some amount that needs/needed to be purchased by funds that try to mimic the index....so the original estimate floated out here that the indexing would generate 3-5myn shares of demand for shares...seems pretty spot on
