Silver's chart is usually an exaggerated version of gold's... somewhat distorted, but with higher highs and lower lows - so the chart you posted isn't surprising to me.
I've said for many years that silver will PROBABLY outperform gold. However, in a downturn, it will also do worse than gold. That's the issue with silver. Greater potential, but FAR greater risk.
I own both.
Here's today's gold chart.
