Well, I'm spending virtually the entire month of October on the road. Monday morning I fly to Chicago for a conference where I'm presenting on Tuesday. Then on Wednesday I'm driving to Minneapolis (hopefully the Fall colors will still be around). On Thursday I visit some customers and then Friday another conference where I'm again presenting. I fly home from Minneapolis Friday evening.
Then the following Monday I fly to Rochester, NY for another conference on Tuesday. Then Wednesday I fly to Houston for a conference on Thursday. Then a bit of a break Friday and Saturday as I'll be at our oldest son's house and will have some time with my granddaughters. I fly home Saturday evening.
The following week I actually get to spend the only day of the month in my office on Monday. On Tuesday I fly to Detroit for some meetings at the GM Tech Center in Warren and then to present at a conference in Troy, MI on Thursday, flying home Friday afternoon. My sister will be in town (from Caracas, Venezuela) staying with our brother (the priest) so I'll at least have a chance to have dinner with them one of the evenings that I'm there.
Then the following week, I fly to Salt Lake City on Monday for a conference in Ogden, UT on Tuesday and then on to Baltimore on Wednesday for a Thursday conference. I fly home Friday morning.
And finally, the last Monday of October I fly to Hartford, CT and then drive up to Worcester, MA on Tuesday for a conference. Then it's back to Hartford that evening for a early morning meeting with a customer before Flying home on Wednesday (Halloween which might be fun).
Well that's it for October.
In November, I only have one trip planned, to Michigan and my Alma Mater, for my annual visit as a judge in a senior Engineering Contest and to meet with some of the students and staff who, along with myself, are involved in an activity involving a competition between them and several other universities (my role is to be a professional 'mentor' for the team).
December, I have one conference which I'm presenting at in Cincinnati and then I might be going to Frankfort, Germany to participate in a training effort for our European technical sales team covering our latest release of software (the Americas team will have been trained in November and then Asia in January which might mean a possible trip to Bangkok).
Anyway, lots of airports and hotels in my near future.
