(Reuters) - U.S. consumer spending rose in August by the most in six months as households stretched to pay for higher gasoline prices, according to a government report on Friday that pointed to lackluster economic growth in the third quarter.

How can spending rise if it is a stretch to buy the goods?? I'm so confused LOL What makes sense is people are getting raped further and paying more for the same product as a year ago. Can't see where spending itself has increased! I know as far as me, I am spending less on things I feel I can do without. Like food, heating bill LOL naaaaa

Realist - Everybody in America is soft, and hates conflict. The cure for this, both in politics and social life, is the same -- hardihood. Give them raw truth.
