If done skillfully, in a debate, this truth could be used to devastating effect. Sure BO "evolved" on gay marriage and so on.

But, for the most part, he has been asking the wealthy to contribute more since, well, forever. He has been saying investemtn in education and infrastructure since, well, forever. He said full covereage for health care for since, well, forever.

Mittens can say that about nothing.

Somewhere in this is debate opportunity. Not in just the tired "flip-flopper" sense, but cleanly on each point as they occur.

"I believe that the wealthy need to pay their share. My opponent is still deciding, and a decision that might vary from state to state and week to week."

(obviously, I'm no debate coach, cause that wouldn't fly).

That I agree with. He is hopelessly unable to be consistent.

Never seen anything quite like it. Every issue, both sides.

I mean, like many people, I can usually argue both sides of an issue. But I usually say something like "here's how you argue this side and here's how you argue the other side and here are the things in play." But he just asserts one side or the other depending on his audience as if he really believes it absolutely. Then goes out and says the opposite the next day with equal belief. Most peculiar.

I am starting to feel a bit sorry for him. He's so obviously not presidential material. I think we are witnessing a total implosion. Even what's left of the GOP intelligentsia knows it. Even Peggy Noonan sees it!
