hi dig,

if it is practical, i might get rid of corporation tax and just charge for compensation and dividends to individuals.

not up to speed on the arguments. but in my currently ill-informed head it makes good sense! Wink

among the things that needs to be cleared up is the definition of the word "income".

I have heard the double taxation dividend argument ad nauseum. Screw that. A dollar is a dollar. Tax the ones I get. It is social engineering to differentially treat my dollars, something the right claims to be against. That would clear up much of the collapsed nature of the progressive tax system.

* and remove the cap on SSI/M contributions.

Those two items would pretty much take care of things ... not that I'm an accountant or anything.
