There are going to be a lot of jittery precious metal owners after this. If I had 10 ounce or larger gold bars, I'd be thoroughly spooked.
I don't know what folks are supposed to do either. Not buy until a vendor has drilled out the core of a bar? Folks may just need to stick with one ounce and smaller coins and bars in the future. I don't believe anything that small can really be hollowed out and filled with tungsten.
