the germans are against qe for obvious reasons. they have a currency that suits them very well and an economy which transfers wealth from all around europe into germany. but if you live in mediterranean europe, this isn't quite so good.
qe suits the rest of europe and may create inflation in germany. so, of course, it is the devil's work. if you are german.
it is the euro which is the problem. the single european currency framework creates this mad world of competing interests. but the folks who are wedded to the idea of a single europe won't let go of it.
