Not close, the brother of daughter's ex... Haven't seen him for years, but we thought he was doing OK... Apparently not.. Had surgery, no insurance, bills piling up, still no insurance, all of 45... Married a couple times, hard worker, was in the CCC for years, ou building trails, but staying out of trouble.. In the end the pain was too much as far as we can tell, slit wrists, then to make sure slit his own throat... Brother, our grandkid's bio father is not taking it well, as can be imagined.. What it shows us in that here's another victim of out fine healthcare system... How many more are out there?
Over the weekend I heard about an old HS friend, his BIL apparently offed himself.. Nam Vet, had serious liver, internal problems, Docs at the VA were throwing up their hands, as I saw him over this past eyar he'd gone far don, lost weight, doped up on percocet or what he coild get, but lately he'd been more coherent, then this.. Again, strange situation, lived with his son, son was gone.. When they found him there was blood all over the house, his shop, he had a couple broken ribs, not sure where the blood came from.. He owned guns, no sign of using any... Deep depression is my guess, likely suicide as well is another guess...
How many more are out there... How much care are they getting?
