I don't know what all the government measures, and how they weight it. I have my own numbers. It's "called" my personal cost of living. I mentioned some of the examples in the previous post.
I guess I need to buy a half price house in Vegas, and a new, on sale television. Then I can feel like I've purchased something this decade that actually went down (or at least didn't go up) in price.
I know that my cost of living is quickly going up, without changing my life style a bit. Even though "official" inflation is almost non existent.
I must be an odd duck.
