CF,
It is interesting to note that the last time that Harry was in Afghanistan a few years ago, it was a complete secret and when word got out that he was there, they brought him home immediately! Our feeling is that the palace thinks that he may need some rehabilitating in the public eye after his nude photo problem out in Las Vegas. It is also interesting to note that there was an infiltration of 20 Taliban wearing us uniforms a day or two ago of Harry's post. He was not harmed and 19 of the infiltrators were killed.
Another theory about Harry is that having him at this post in Afghanistan in the Helmund province, a hotbed of Taliban activity, might be a draw to entice many Taliban too try to come and kill him, thus killing many many Taliban in the process.
A deeper and more distrurbing theory that dates back to the death of princess Diana, his mother, states that Buckingham Palace really wanted her out of the way, and that they were not that saddened by her death. Harry has been his own man for a very long time now and that may be bothering the palace to no end. They don't like that form of attention paid to the royals, so, if something happened to Harry....!
The problem with all of this is that Will and Kate have not produced an heir yet so if something happened to him and Harry was gone, so is the succession. None of this takes into any account the fact that Kate has now been photographed topless in the south of France and those photos have been or will be published in at least three papers across
Europe, from Ireland to Italy.
It must be Hell being queen these days with so many problems confronting her and the other royals. To our way of thinking, Will and Kate are the best thing to have happened to the British royalty in man y, many years. However, they are still royalty and there is, we think, instilled in them as well as Elizabeth, a gene that does not like all things common! We still miss princess Diana and see her every day in her two sons. And, we hope the queen lives long and that Charles has a short reign!
IOVHO,

Joe
To say that "God exists" is the greatest understatement ever made across space and time.
