hi doma,
i tend to think in terms of structure to explain oddities. i think the politicians are a product of the framework which elects them.
as you know, i've talked a good deal about the us framework. it isn't all bad. it isn't all good. it does what it does. but certainly i would agree that it doesn't always produce perfect presidents.
