Hi CF, isn't that what we've been saying (and seeing) all along: the recent core of the GOP is so far right and unaccepting of any positions slightly to their left. Therefore they're unable to attract more centered voters. With changing demographics they change or continue to shrink. Regardless, Obama will have a very difficult time getting his 2nd term agenda through the House. Obstructionism is the GOP's tool be it via a House majority or the Senate filibuster. An Obama win will be sweeeeeet.

Good point.

Thus far, I think he has proved to be everything Republican voters feared. How can they stand behind a man who says whatever his audience wants to hear? Is he a conservative? - Yes on Monday when he wants "to energise the base". - No on Tuesday when he wants to capture undecided voters.

I'd be sorely troubled if I was inclined to vote for a Republican ticket. What would a president Romney do? Whatever seemed expedient on that day, of course.
