I just wonder why the Democratic Party thinks it's OK to require ID for each of the delegates (who are supposed to be eligible voters) to attend the Convention, but think it's WRONG to require ID for each voter at the polls (some of which were delegates at the convention). I'm not talking about the tickets to the event, or pre-registration - I'm talking about showing an ID at the door.

I honestly don't see a whole lot of difference. Yes, I realize this is a high-security event, so a lot of things are adapted to that end.

This is the silliest argument we've ever seen on this board! Most every convention of any kind that we've ever attended either required an ID or a ticket of some sort to attend the festivities. There are 75,000 people going to see the presidents acceptance speech thursday night at an outdoor stadium and all of the tickets for that have already been given out. In addition to that most everyone is from out of town and had to buy or be furnished a hotel room and some meal tickets in advance which required some sort of registration. Every atrtendee at any convention that we've ever been to got a packet in advance with I D's and other information such as the schedule included. These must be made up in advance. In addition to that you have the president of the United States and other officials there who require security clearances to be anywhere close to them.

Riana, my opinion of you slips lower and lower with each passing day. You are either an agitator or just not very experienced in the ways of much of the world!
It is sad to note that a poster who had been on this board for many years was banned because of you!!!!!!!!!!
