Jim Rogers made a fortune in the '70s and '80s. I *believe* he is responsible for most of George Soros's fortune (if someone can look into that, i'd appareciate it.)
That doesn't mean that he's right about the economic trend today, but it definitely establishes him as an authority.
On a somewhat different topic, I told my sister this weekend that I believe gold has resumed its uptrend. That means new highs are on their way, and gold will not see $1,600/oz again, imvho.
