...they shot the dog, it likely ran. Ya can't chase a dog all over hell and creation and ya can't just keep blasting away at it without possibly injuring or killing somebody else.

...on the flip side, I was helping a couple of detectives pull on a burglary suspect they had a warrant on. The suspect was living with his grandparents. We knocked on the door, the old man let us in and the detectives went back to get their grandson while I stayed in the living room with the grandparents. There was a mutt laying on the floor who seemed to be sound asleep. The grandson tried to jump out the window and run which woke the dog up and since I seemed to be the only unfamiliar person in the room, he bit me.

...I got him by the collar and the old man took him and put him in a spare bedroom. They had papers on the dog showing he had his rabies shots. I had to go to the hospital and get a few stitches and a tetanus shot, but that was the end of it as far as I was concerned. The dog was doing what he was supposed to do, Protect his family.

We didn't kick down doors or make people lay on the ground or shoot animals unless we were going after somebody who was wanted for murder or some other really serious crime. We behaved civily and so did most of the citizens back then. (black and white).

There are good cops and bad cops and guys like the one who wrote this story lumps em all into the bad category and writes accordingly.

The biggest part of that story is the way they killed her dog. Didn't kill it right away just hurt it bad and let is suffer. Not to concerned about the person, but the animal I am very pissed about what happened.............
