ArVee,

My issues were two-fold with that new v7 controller.

1) It did not configure my GPU properly, and never got it folding (kept erroring out). I ended up configuring it for CPU only, then fired up the old client for the GPU and now have them both running.

2) fahspy not monitoring v7. fahspy is not currently capable of reading the logfile from this new version, according to the forums guru's.

I believe VG was referencing the fluctuations in estimated ppd as generated by v7 in some instances. While still a little buggy (it's still officially beta) I think most new and indeed many established folders as well would prefer v7 to anything preceding it, especially from an installation standpoint when cpu's and gpu's are mixed. Multiple gpu's in the past were a joyous nightmare, the joy solely derived from the accomplishment of finally beating the thing Propeller

Anyway, it was the larger ppd flucuations that sent him back seeking the known stability of FahSpy, a third-party monitoring tool.
