Not sure I'm following all you guys are saying. I'm running V7 on the fast desktop and backed off to
V6 on some laptops. It's running mostly as smooth as silk on the desktop. When something goes wrong, I just reboot and don't have to set anything as it resumes where it left off except for Precision X to reset the fan speed. Don't need that other progress tool you mentioned.

Runs and show progress on BOTH SMP & GPU, but every once in a while I find only one running. Don't know why that happens but I suspect bad WU treatment. Solution is just to reboot and both are running again.

The Work Units it runs sre different ... not sure if they give higher points but can't tell as comparing apples with oranges.

Hi VGolf --

I prefer the oldies but that's only because I'm so used to them and fahspy. v7 installation is certain far superior. Like you, I've resorted to 7 only when provoked. Laughing It's bearable and I just put up with the variances in ppd estimates as it's on lesser machines. I've read nothing but good things about HFM.NET however which apparently is a successor to FahSpy and addresses the ppd estimate and other issues. Just haven't felt the urgency to look at it myself.
