re: "it shouldnt be possible to obabma to win given his awful record of coruprtion but i think he will"

I think you're wrong. Romney has several advantages.

For starters, his position in the polls is nearly identical to O'bummer's at this time in the 2008 election.

Second, as the challenger, people oppose him simply because they don't know him or his positions. That will change.

Third, he has an extremely charismatic and intelligent running mate. O'bummer has Biden, who is more like a senile clone of Dan Quayle.

Fourth, Romney is an experienced and skilled debater. O'bummer isn't. Just wait until the first debate that doesn't include a teleprompter.

Fifth, O'bummer doesn't have a record he can run on. All he's able to do is to run AGAINST his opponent. Many of his negative ads are essentially lies, and easily debunked. The Bain Capital ads... the fake 'Republican war on women'... the claim that Romney isn't likeable. These will fall apart.

Sixth, Romney has DRAMATICALLY out-earned O'bummer and continues to do so. Wall Street is betting on Romney. If my understanding is correct, this money is unspendable until the candidate is nominated - which means that the Romney campaign has JUST come into a huge amount of money that the O'bummer campaign doesn't have and can't hope to match.

Seventh, the Republicans have the momentum. Remember 2010. Remember Wisconsin's failed bid to recall Scott Walker (and how badly the pollsters called THAT election). Take note of the senatorial races, in which Republicans stand to pick up several seats and quite possibly gain Senate control.

Finally - and this is the elephant in the room - polls don't reflect the enormous lead Romney has in voter enthusiasm. That translates into a huge TURNOUT advantage on election day. If phone polls call the race even, the ELECTION will go to the Republicans by 5 to 10 percent.

That's why Romney will win - but shouldn't be confused with what I "want." The two nominees are demonstrably traitors and I'm not going to fall into the trap of supporting one "more than" the other.

I totally agree with you about the treatment of Ron Paul. What the RNC did was reprehensible. I'm not sure, but I *think* most of the criticism should be levled at John Boehner. As RNC chairman, wasn't he the one who changed the rules? What a slimeball. He's a male Pelosi.

i was looking at some polls and romny isnt doing better than draw. even rasmusin has it a draw but actually not;in the details obama appears to lead. the repub conventions doesn't seem to have helped much and the dem convention will likely undo any bounce which might occur.

good.

repubs thought they were so smart spitting on the ron paul contingent. stupidest move in modern american politics i think we are going to see

it shouldnt be possible to obabma to win given his awful record of coruprtion but i think he will. maybe just barely but thwat is enough
