Three people are dead, including the gunman, after what authorities believe may have been a workplace-related shooting in a New Jersey supermarket Friday morning, sources familiar with the investigation tell NBC 4 New York.
One of the victims was an 18-year-old woman, a law enforcement official said. The gunman was 23 years old. Details about the other victim was unknown.
Authorities were called to the Pathmark on Route 9 in Old Bridge at about 4 a.m. It wasn't immediately clear what sparked the shootout, nor was it known if the gunman killed himself or was shot by authorities.
The store was closed at the time of the shooting. It had been scheduled to open at 6 a.m.
