that during the 2008 Republican convention, the party took a day off in respect for what was happening down on the Gulf of Mexico. In 2012, the Republican party in Tampa, Florida, took a day off when the storm threatened them. However, there was little respect paid to those suffering just a few hundred miles away for the rest of the convention. We suppose their "message" was so important that it had to rise above the suffering of others. A vision of the future?
